Disability Pride Month: Smart Mirror Innovation
At Delta Flight Products, designing for inclusivity isn’t driven by requirement—it’s an opportunity to create a better travel experience for everyone.
One example is our Smart Mirror concept: a multi-purpose lavatory mirror that functions as both a traditional mirror and a digital display.
The concept was designed to help address an existing accessibility challenge by translating announcements and notifications that are typically delivered through an aircraft’s PA system into an ADA-compliant closed captioning displayed on the mirror. This enables passengers with hearing impairments to receive important information in a more accessible way throughout their journey.
